Update: The inaugural bRUNch NYC has been postponed until Sunday July 26th. Please check back for updates.
After gorging at the all-you-can-eat brunch buffet on Father’s Day, I could probably use a bit of exercise. I mean, those second helpings of bacon and eggs are not going to work themselves off, right?
If you’re like me brunch adds a lot of happiness to your life, but at times it can also add a little guilt. I’ll frequently have the internal debate about whether I should really go for the Steak and Eggs Benedict if an egg white and veggie omelet will suffice. That’s not to mention the Manmosa or Bloody Mary vs. water debate (damn you tasty alcohol!).
Luckily, the folks behind City Running Tours are now making it easy to enjoy a guilt-free brunch no matter what you order. This Saturday June 27th, City Running Tours is introducing their first ever bRUNch, a five mile running tour of some of Manhattan’s more unique landmarks that culminates with brunch at Stand Burger near Union Square for a taste of the restaurant’s newly launched brunch menu.
bRUNch combines the love of running with the love of food to create a truly unique brunch experience. It brings together New Yorkers as well as tourists for a different perspective of New York City and then gives them a chance to brunch at one of the city’s exceptional eateries.
I Heart Brunch will be participating in the inaugural bRUNch and will have our video camera on hand to document the tour experience and of course, the brunch. Check back next week for the video!
